62 Ford F250 Unibody Longbed production numbers
Hello everybody!
First time on the site and I have a few questions on the old girl in my yard. Its my family's old 1962 Ford F250 Unibody Longbed. No Hood, no motor, no tranny. Frame, body, and rear end are all thats left. Im thinking that when money is good i may go to a wrecking yard and get a new donor truck for the motor, tranny, front suspension (just not the Twin I-beam setup). But does anyone know how many of the 62 F250 Longbed Unibody was produced? i know they made around 10 thousand of the f250 umibody but I dont know how many were the longbed. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to FTE
No info is available from FoMoCo, as they THREW AWAY all the records for 1961/66's decades ago.
All that is available are scant production figures, kept for the entire auto industry by R. L. Polk & Co.*
10,703 1962 F250 Unit-Body pickups were assembled. There are no records as to how many were Standard or Custom Cabs, what percentage came with what engine/trans, etc.
* Production figures taken from "The Standard Catalog of Light Duty Ford Trucks 1905/2002" / by John Gunnell / krause.com / ISBN: 0-87349-411-3 (out of print).
