debating on a new 6.7 liter
I have an x plan pin # that I was offered from ford, not sure what the savings i off the sticker using that has anyone used an X plan
Anyway how are the new 6.7 liters running, any issues like the 6.0 liter has? How is the emmisions, can the exhaust be changed out or is that not an option on this truck? I have an 07 F350 6.0 liter with 32000 miles im thinking of trading in and getting a 2013. Any advice???

Yup 32000 miles!! Truck is showroom new, its a 2007 black extended cab shortbox F350 lariat highline edition (has stainless trim inside with black leather captains chairs) digital climate control, heated seats, tow mirrors, brake controller, upfitter switches, 6 disc in dash cd changer, 18" alloys, 2 1/2" cage level kit, adjustable trac bar, 4" MBRP stainless turbo back exhaust (no cat) all stock exhaust and cat never used, bedliner, stainless westin nerf bars, tinted windows, cab lights, volant cold air intake, stock filter setup, coolant filter kit. Oil changed every 5000 miles with valvoline premium blue synthetic oil, had fuel filters changed every year just did $1000 in new front ball joints and front end alignment this week. Not 1 spec of rust, stone chips or scratches. Truck was rustproofed then sprayed the entire underbody with dupont imron paint $500/gallon but worth it. This year i sprayed fluid film rustproofer over everything. Has an oily appearence but water beads right off the frame!! Id post pics but not sure how

X-Plan is pretty decent although anyone can get the x-plan here in WA state. They pretty much offer it to anyone. It is the employee plan and my company gets that benefit as part of our "perks". It is usually invoice plus destination and a couple other fees. Same as buying from the fleet manager.
I bought mine a little over a month ago and managed to get quite a bit below invoice due to it being close to the end of the year. I think I saved about $18k off of sticker which was somewhere around $4k under invoice for my 2012 F350 CC 4x4 Lariat. The dealer was getting kickbacks from Ford to sell off the remaining trucks so they could go quite a bit below invoice to make a deal. I also got several benefits such as a competing lease $1,000 discount, owner loyalty which was like $500, $2,000 buyer bonus, $1,000 discount to use Ford financing (which I will switch to my credit union or pay off after 3 payments) and a couple others. Be sure to look up all the discounts. Most dealers don't look for everything you qualify for.

Wow, that's awesome! If you do get a new one, somebody is getting a real gem. Those 2007 trucks are real nice.
If you haven't already, just read for a while on the 6.7. Most of your questions should be answered fairly quickly. Simply put, these new trucks and engines are fantastic. The power is crazy good all stock. Trucks are great too.

I've used the Xplan a bunch of times over the past 12 years. There is no dicker on the purchase price ( you still need to dicker on your trade in value, If you trade) It is a fixed price. You used to get on the xplan website and you could see the Xplan price before you ever left your home. If you already have an Xplan, You might have that website that you can go check it out.
If you are buying a 2012 or end of year purchase, You can usually get as good if not as good a deal if you are a savy buyer with out the Xplan. When new models first arrive, sometimes the Xplan might be better. Xplan seems to have evolved over the years, from being a great deal, to just being an so-so deal.
As far as the 6.7L. It seems to be holding up very well for most owners. We are just now seeing the first owners come up on 3 years of use and a few have gone over the 100,000 mile threshold. We are not seeing the common problems like HPOP, FCIM, EGR Coolers etc that we saw on the 6.0 as they approached 100,000 miles.
As far as I'm concerned, It has been the best Superduty that I've owned to date.

New GM trucks unveiled: Improved enough?
Spied: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Just read these articals on the GM product. Might get a good deal on an old model. I would never buy a 1st year GM product, again.

GM hasn't made a truck I've liked since 1987. In my observation though the 2500 gm rear springs are equivalent to 350 SRW far as sagging under load. It's my thought that Ford made the 250 a little softer to appease buyers that wanted a diesel but only needed a 150.

Now if Ford put out a Raptor with a 502 putting out 500+ HP with the proper tranny I'd think about trading.
