i was looking a diesel but after considering maintenance cost i decided to go gas .. wondering weather to go 4.6 or 5.4? wondering if there's difference in mpg and any common issues with either motor.
im going used so its gonna be in the 04 to 08 year range

 

My best recommendation is to check out some of the many threads before and after this post. They are all about these trucks, and many deal with motor issues or mpg's. Read the various pages of info and opinion and let that help you make up your mind

Hey Mud, I have an F-150 with the 4.6 and an Expo with the 5.4. I WISH the F-150 had the 5.4. Not a big difference in gas mileage but one hell of a difference in power. Get the 5.4

 

yea im not debating on weather to get the 5.4 or the v10
