What connectors are used most for a new wiring kit?
This weekend, I plan to start doing rewiring my 53 with a rebel wire 6 volt universal wiring kit. I want to buy a bunch of connectors before I get started. I am waiting for UPS to deliver the wiring kit. Does anyone know what kind of connectors I should buy? (like blue the butt connectors or something)
I have some electrical connectors at my dad's shop but I don't want to pillage his supply. I appreciate the help men. Should be a fun weekend.

butt connectors work well, i would only use them in the cab. If it's a connection that is not meant to be disconnected then i would solder and heat shrink it. The advantage in that is you can solder and cover it in duct or electrical tape for temp connection until all troubleshooting and rewiring in finished, then if you have to switch a wire it's just de-soldering the wires and not cutting a length out due to the crimp.
I'm only a year into my first rebuild, and I've not reached that stage of the project yet, but that is my plans, and with a Degree in Industrial Robotics I believe can give some sound advice on this. Good Luck

6 volt systems need very good connections. You will be making a lot of butt joints, personally I like the crimp connectors with NO insulation. These can be easily covered with shrink tube and look way neater to me. You will need a few ring terminals as well. Wires outside the body solder as said above. Also don't forget grounds and ground cables.
I get my wiring supplies at the local fastener store.....way less $$$ than the auto parts store.
