It works for you so it makes a buncha sense. I've had good luck with Duraspark. I haven't tried it with the GM 4 pin ignition module yet. But even if they fail at the rate of once every 4 years, at less than 40 bucks a pop? I'm willing to take the gamble. I don't make sense on long trips. I'll have a spare of just about anything under the hood that can fail, plus a coupla gallons of water. I'm a Murphy's Law guy. If ya got it, you won't break one

Isn't that the truth, I did a 2300 mile round trip last summer from LA to Chama New Mexico in my 60, I took a few spare parts but it never missed a beat.

Yup. I've noticed that some things, like the water pump and the fuel pump take a bit of hunting to obtain on these Fridges. I don't want to be stuck in Nonuts Nevada having to wait for a part to come via USPS.

Exactly, I carry a water pump, fuel pump, coil, and some generator brushes and springs.. I've made trips in previous years to Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Washington, Idaho and parts of Canada without using any of them..
