Need opinion on 2005 F250 King Ranch

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2005 F250 King Ranch 4x4 with about 100k miles but I'm concerned about it having a 5.4L gas engine. My current 2004 F250 2wd has a 5.4L and I'm content with the performance but it's also a lighter extended cab with a short box. The King Ranch is heavier by about 1000 lbs. Will this extra weight really make a big difference in performance. I sometimes tow a 4000 lb. travel trailer. Any advice would be appreciated.

The 2005+ 5.4L is a 3V engine, which is more powerful. The 2005+ automatic transmission has a lower first gear.

The 2005 truck will easily tow 2 tons.

Thanks for the quick reply redford. You were spot on with your comments when I asked here about purchasing my current 2004 F250. It has lived up to all of my expectations and more. I would certainly keep it but a recent move requires a 4wd truck because of a long and steep driveway.
