So i figured instead of having to wait for a reply on a thread i would simplify this and set up a chat channel for everyone. All you do is enter a username, it could be the username here or one you just thought of. Then fill in the letters you see in the picture and hit connect. You will pop up in a chat room for FTE that i made. Hopefully it will get used :]

Wow, an IRC channel... a throwback to 20+ years ago, before the WWW....

 

I didn't even know they existed until last night, pretty cool and it works good lol.

I hope people actually use it. I am working on setting up something called a ZNC where my nickname on there will be logged in at all times. Even if my own computer is off. I have used IRC for some time and the freedom you have and the things you can do make it so much nicer than other chat clients. Anyways log on if you want and check it out, I will be in and out of the channel while I play with things.

EDIT: now i'm on my laptop, much easier to type. Anyways, so i was just going to embed the client into a thread to make it easier for people to use but Wheelman told me just to use a direct link. I might even get a bot set up that can display information on command for people. Also IB Tim what do you mean?

Haha i figured. Pretty much what i am doing is making it look like i am online at all times. When really, i am offline, just my name is on there. It's kind of nerdy stuff i guess, Chris should know what i mean. I dabble in both computer stuff in car stuff but i am equally dumb in both areas.

 

One computer I was forced to use for months, it was so slow I got so pissed at it after I got my good desktop back and working I destroyed it, I have a video of me smashing the hard drive lol

 

Nice. I delt with a computer like that for a long time. It finally died and i upgraded.

 

Bumping. So far we have had me, FordFETruck, and Ctubutis come in and check it out. It seems to work well so far. It's better than posting single post every few minutes to reply to a conversation.
