Lincoln Navigator height sensors

I am replacing the height sensors in my '04 Navigator. Will I need to take it to the dealer afterwards to have the air system calibrated or will it work ok without a trip to the dealer?

Thanks

You can adjust them mechanically to get the correct height.

Thanks for the reply. How do I mechanically adjust the height? Can I buy adjustable linkage rods that go between the sensor and control arm?

It's a plug and play system, at least for me, just change them out and be patient for a day or so. It will likely level out right away.

There is no adjusting or recalibrating. I have replaced two on my wifes with no issues. Maybe 15min a piece. I just replaced the rear while on vacation last June at the Lincoln dealership with some tools I had with me.
Real easy.

air ride sensors

Hi All

I have a 2003 navigator...

when I google the ride height sensors, I get two completely different looking units... and wondered which was the correct one before buying them

also, are these dealer only, or does anyone sell them as aftermarket?

These are for the front, specifically the pass side.

lastly, as a bonus, if someone has a photo and instructions on how to replace them... that would really be great!

yeah, AZ doesn't sell these... if it was that easy, I wouldn't be asking on here.

Plus still wanted to get a photo of the ones specific to my 2003 nav... the two that come up are VERY different... and I want to be sure I order the correct one...

I do agree about somethings being better from motorcraft - but if the price is 10x more, thats a lot of junk sensors to have to go through... it's a gamble...

if you have a link to an AZ page for these, I'd love to see that....

Is there a difference between the front drivers side and passenger side sensors

Is it the same part for the ride height sensors for the passenger and drivers side front? I just broke my front drivers side sensor when going over some rough terrain, and I had a spare ride height sensor so I put it in but I think its the passenger side cause its lowering when it should be raising

They are different - mirror images of each other...

BTW there IS now an aftermarket version that AZ and others carry - not sure how good they are, but...

Im still having trouble with my '03 - need someone local to me with a lift so we can see what is going on.... and a computer to check the sensors.

Thanks

I have an extra set of everything except the ride height sensors, if you need anything. Do you have a link for the "AZ" aftermarket ones?

It has been awhile since I went through that crap (coils on now and no regrets) but IIRC there is a diffrence, I am thinking that when I did it Lincoln even wanted more $$ for one side than the other.
I also have everything I should even have the ride height sensors. bags soleinoids are seting in my garage. Will have to look around for the sensors if anyone is interested in any of it let me know.

Let me know what you would want for a front drivers side ride height sensor?

Let me make sure I can locate them first. LH front and rear are like new. I replaced them not to long before I decided to go to coils. The rear was done in the middle of our family vacation. Lucked out and a lincoln dealer somewhere over by DC had one on hand. Changed it in the parking lot. Everything turned out great, except the price of course

Lincoln Navigator/Suspension

I am try to figure out what is wrong with my air suspension. Air compressor comes on but doesn't lift and sounds as if it is leaking. All height sensors appear to be intact and not broken. How can I trouble shoot this properly? Plus is there only one rear sensor on a 2004? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
