drive shaft swap?

ok guys and gals, ive been searching for awhile now and havent been able to find any answers. i have a 94 f150 xl short bed 4x4 4,9l 5 speed and have the dua rear driveshaft, well the slip yoke and splines need to be replaces cuz they keep binding and busting hanger bearings. my local driveshaft says itll cost me 325 for them to fix it. i just want to swap out to a single rear ds. i can get from from someone local from a 79 f150 that has a shaft length of 70 inches. same u joints as mine so the ends dont matter as i can swap them with mine if i have to. does anyone know if this will work or does it need to be shorter/longer? my drive shaft has the flange to bolt to the rear and a slip yoke for the trans.

You can measure your truck and see how long of a drive shaft you need.
