Looking to run dedicated snows and was wondering if 17" rims will fit or do I need to stick with 18". Currently have 20" Chromes on it that I'd like to keep as summer only tires.
I would think that a 17" rim from an 05-up would fit, but someone more versed on wheels will probly be along soon. I only say that because I bought a set of 11 take offs for my 06 and have no fitment issues.
Yes, 17 inchers will fit. I used the steelies from my '06 on my 2011 until I found a set of 18 inch steel wheels for snows. BUT you'll need a really tall tire on the 17 to match your stock tire diameter, it's easier if you can find some 18's.
Ok thanks. Smokeispower What winter tire you running and size? Here are a few recommended to me Artic Claw made by cooper along with Toyo Open Country WLT1 and Hercules Avalanche Extreme were recommended to me. 275-70-18 Was the size recommended. The 18" Rims were $111 each.
05-12 OEM wheels will fit.
Keep in mind that the diameter needs to be the same, otherwise shift points will be affected. Also, your TPMS could be impacted. These may not be a big deal to you but the TPMS alert can drive a man crazy LOL

I know the shift points will change as I had bigger tires on my Ram Diesel and it sucked hauling a dump trailer with 9000lbs of dirt in it up a hill.
I'm not sure if my truck has the TPMS system its a Lariet and the only light that's has so far come on is the CEL light lol.. Not that, that's a good thing.
Your truck definitely has TPMS. When you change wheels you'll need the same type of sensors and they will have to be retrained. Otherwise every time when you start up the truck you'll get the annoying TPMS warning that you have to reset.
