Much appreciated everyone!
About what time frame was that? She is going in again on the 11th. From what I hear and read that is the same consensus I have heard over and over. Its just weird to hear "Don't worry about it."

I'm not to sure on the time frame. The first ultrasound was at 20 weeks I think. The second, I'm not sure, about a month or so later. It is weird to hear "don't worry about it", how can you not worry. It is YOUR baby. The gal that was doing the ultrasound has been doing that job for about 20 years, and was hesitant about saying any thing about the cyst, as so few amount to anything. Sometimes I wonder if we get to much information.

Well thats about the same for us, it showed on the 20 week, they said at the 28 we would come back. My wife being my wife will likely go every 2 weeks because she can.
Yeah I know what you mean, she literally said "we wish we didn't have to tell you in order to not worry, but we are obligated to." We will see thats all i can do. I just keep my head down and keep going, worrying won't do anything to fix it, but seems to be unavoidable.

Baby is doing great on all aspects except one. Got a bit of a scare as she does have a choroid plexus cyst in her brain cavity. Doctor told us not to worry about it alot- yet.... My wife had the chromosome test done back at ten weeks which cleared her of any deficiencies. Its not a T18 deficiency which i freaked out about at first. We had the 20 week ultrasound done and go back in 8 weeks to see and pray that cyst has dissipated. I guess after researching its not a very common issue, but commonly dissipates and is a non issue if it does arrise, when a t18 chromosome deficiency is not present. Have not been able to sleep at all since finding out. Made me sick to my stomach hearing that...
If you do nothing further, you should be confident that your baby most likely has normal chromosomes. I suppose you have yet had an alpha fetoprotein (AFP) test, this can be done to further evaluate the chance of trisomy 18. A level II ultrasound, or a targeted scan, should be done, if it has not been done already to look for other signs of trisomy 18.
If you need to be certain, we can do the amniocentesis, with the knowledge that it is very unlikely to result in a complication. Your decision should depend on what you would do with the information from an amniocentesis, how you would feel about a miscarriage, how you would feel about an affected child and the anxiety you might feel until the child is born. If you want to proceed with the amniocentesis, you can be reassured that the complications from the procedure are quite rare.

What should you do?
