Hey everyone
Just picked up the truck last night and the driver side exhaust manifold is leaking. I had a quick look at the manifold and it seems to be pretty rust free, it also says LEFT in yellow. Im sure someone has replaced it before but I am planning on replacing both with Pacesetter headers. The Y pipe is quite rusty but there are no holes or signs of exhaust leaks. Will it be ok to bolt up new headers and a new catback exhaust to the stock Y pipe or should I replace the Y pipe as well? If I have to replace it can I use a Off-road Y pipe and weld in a universal high flow cat behind the Y pipe?
If yes who makes a off-road y pipe for a 97? I can only find 99 and newer.
