Gearing compatibility

I have a 96 f150 4x4 what all years and models are compatible to swap out the gears... Since its 4x4 what all do I need to do a complete swap? I'm gonna look around the local pick and pulls

Assuming you are asking about the entire axle assembly, you will be looking for any 89-96 Bronco, F150 or F250 for the front third member and I believe any 89-96 Bronco or F150 for the rear axle.

Someone here should know for sure wht year they started installing the 8.8s from the factory.
