HPOP hoses changed and now no start?

OK so I had yet another HPOP o-ring leak so I figured I would change the old hoses while I was in there. Also added an HPX just because. Got the job finished and attempted to fire it up. While cranking blew a hose off at the passenger head. Very messy.
Put hose in firmly and crank, and crank, and crank, stopping in between to let the glow plugs fully cycle to not fry starter. Never even tries to catch. Not seeing anything out of tail pipe so I am thinking no fuel. Open drain with key on, plenty of fuel running out.
Ideas? Thoughts?

Is the reservoir full in the HPOP. I know you probably filled it, but sometimes, it can take a bit to get the oil side primed.

Other than that, battery voltage while cranking?

Any live data, IPR duty cycle % and ICP?

No, I didn't fill it.....doh! But when the hose fitting blew
I figured it was full. I have two other trucks with jumper cables so that voltage is not a problem. No live data available.

I never filled mine when I changed the hoses, it just took a little bit of cranking to fire. Charge the batts and turn that key.
Or I'll have to come over and drink beer....I mean help you fix it

I wasn't saying you had to fill, but if you really wanted to shorten up the crank/prime time. You could fill the rails, and hoses, then install crank briefly, then refill the reservoir. Then it should fire right up.

That being said, I never fill it either, but it will make it fire up quicker, and with the amount Joe might have lost loosing the hose, it could definitely help prime the system.

I agree Al, I was just saying that Joe didnt screw anything up by not topping off the hpop first. After blowing a line I topped of the crank case, and never thought to fill the hpop but it still fired after ten or so seconds.

Joe if the line you replaced was on the drivers side I would try unplugging the icp and see if it starts.I am guessing at drivers side?? Even if it was pass side try cranking with icp unplugged.
And after running turn truck off and plug back in.

I have cranked it for ten or more seconds many times. So that answers that question. I actually did unplug the ICP and try it. No luck.
Damned if I know.
Frank, I intend to get with you before you leave anyhow, so yes. get your azz over here tomorrow. It will be a mini GTG since the planned one was cancelled. I will cook and others are welcome as well.
HELP........

Without AE or similar it's tough. Hopefully Frank can help you out.

Leaning towards a dirty IPR myself now, if all else seems in order.

The reservoir needs oil btw - not BEER. Hopefully the boys will come over and fix you up! I know Roland never leaves home without AE, I'm guessing he got a new computer by now... No ICP and high Duty Cycle could mean something got to the IPR. My bet is just low batts, it WILL NOT start if PCM doesn't see 10.5v while cranking. Clean the terminals and charge'em up while waiting for the calvary!

Great offers, from both of you! Joe, as you know, you'll be in good hands if needed!
