Well I just called, and am gonna have to get a price somewhere else. Discount Tire wanted $1,108 out the door, $1,275 out the door with roadside certificates. WOW!!! That's all I got to say. A buddy of mine got a set of 35" Duratracs and aftermarket wheels for $1,400. So I am gonna have to price around I think. And that price is only a 285 tire.

We paid $500 mounted balanced and all for our 265 75 R16 tires Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on our Expy but they already had about 100 miles on them because they were take offs.

Sounds for the most part so far everybody loves the tires. I am really leaning towards the 305's though. I had that size two sets ago and liked how the truck looked. 285's are a little better on fuel but can't be terrible.

I want to get a set of 285 75 R16 Goodyear Duratracs or Bf Goodrich TA KO's with the highest possible load range for our 02 F250 crew Cab 4x4 but thats gonna be a while waiting for these 285 75 R16 General Grabber AT2's to be completely worn out sure glad we didn't buy those tires they suck in mud and don't hold very well for weight.

My previous set of tires were the Duratracs... overall great tire, a little squirmy when they were new but they broke in nicely. I got 72k out of mine and they were BALD. I was running 285/75-16 and paid about $900 out the door at the time... I was happy with them, good tire.

Shoot. 72,000 sign me up!!! I would be happy with 50,000. Talked to the guy at the tire shop today who has the same truck as me. He runs the Duratracs, says he loves them and these are his second set. He told me the most important with these tires is rotation every 5,000. I know that is importanat with every tire but just saying what he told me. Gonna have to see if they are still gonna give me the roadside slips even if I go with the 305's. Really want sometime of warranty since I have read quite a few reviews that say they had blow outs.

Our 86 F150 is running 31 10.50 R15s BF Goodrich TA KO's has 33-35K miles on them never rotated and I would say probably another 20k more maybe a little more. They are great. Thanks for letting me know on the Duratracs rotating gonna have to rotate them for the expedition when it hits the 5k mark.

I got mine from a friend that own a Goodyear shop. $1200 out the door. Not much of a deal but still cheaper then Belle Tire or Discount Tire. Tire Rack has them in my size for about $1180, that includes me having them installed at $20 each. I don't like the idea of buying TIRES on line. Seems like to big of a purchase and the installer won't warranty the tire since I did not buy them from him. Plus I got them from a friend and he helped me out with the rebate too.

Don't think you would save enough in gas to come to MI just for tires.

Ya. Tire rack is local for me and they are the best price. But I don't think they have roadside warranty. I will have to look into it again. I have a lady I know that works there. Would love to ask for the hook up but don't know her quite THAT good if you know what I am saying.

Yep just checked and tire rack doesn't warranty LT sized tires. I am a little worried being that I have heard of quite a few blow outs. Still have to check everything out I guess.

UPDATE: alright just called TireRack talked to a AWESOME service rep. $1,067 out the door installed. No warranty on the LT tires. That price is still cheaper then discount by $40. Plus I said I wasn't quite ready for them yet and he said he would go ahead and place the order that way they will hold the tires for me until the 31st. He said if I am not ready by then give him a call and he can bump back the date some more. Service like that isnt had very often so hats off to TireRack.

Yep do your research. It's a large purchase and you need to be safe too. A extra couple of days won't hurt, unless you need tires really bad. Good luck, and I love my tires.
