1988 F150 4x4 Project truck

I just acquired a 1988 F150 2 door supercab 4x4 long bed truck.
It has the 5.8 with auto trans.
Wanting to lift this truck but I am unsure how much lift I will need to stuff some 33's under it.
I'm looking for a look like this truck.
1988 Ford F150 4x4 - 1988 F150 xlt lariat 4x4

Does this truck have a 4 or 6 inch lift?

33 will just fit with 0 lift
33 looks good with 3-4 inch lift
35 barely fit with 4 inch lift
35 look good with 6 inch lift

The truck in the link is set at 4 inches, there is a photo of the axle pivot
Bracket with two holes for 4 or 6 inch lift.
The axle pivot is bolted to the holes closest to the frame.

Assuming all photos were taken at the same day, the truck looks like 4 inches.

I did not look at all the photos, some angles make the truck look
Taller that 4 inches of suspension lift.

Thanks for the speedy reply khadma !
I'm going to remove the bed and build my own flat bed. (For hauling 2 full size 4x4 ATV's)
Do most of the kits level out the trucks?
I also want to install air bags in the rear for when I have the quads on it. (Have a set on my 98 Mazda B4000 ex cab 4x4 and love them)
Thanks for the welcome! (I have been lurking here for a few years now)

Most kits do give the truck a level appearance.

There is a thread with an aluminum bed featured in an off road magazine.

It was actually designed for chase truck duties.

If it is in your budget, this would be a different approach to a flat bed.

Cool, always open for new ideas.
Right now my plans are to use the side sheet metal from the bed, cut and fit to the bottom of the outer bed rails. I'm looking for a clean look below the bed and having some tin for paint back there should give the truck a good look I hope.

Skyjacker offers 6 different 4 inch lifts.
Can someone shed some light on whats going to be best for my primarily road driven project? I dont want to cheap out, but I also have no need to a full on off road kit either.
#184PKS-N is the one I think fits my needs the best.

Looking around I can not find any info on my auto trans.
For the 88 is it just a C-6?

Check the drivers door post for a sticker that has the truck info on it, post the trans code here and someone will tell you for sure what it came with..

I am sure you can make the tank fit, but
You will need to move the spare tire and possibly
An 87/88 Bronco intank pump.
