GOT IT! Got the tap this morning and checked out all of the measurements, its right on the money. Went straight over to the machine shop and the first run should be done in two weeks. I started out with 10 gears being made, if I get a bunch of orders I can up the initial order and the time frame will stay the same. I just have to let them know. Unless they call me and say something went seriously wrong (not going to happen) the price is $85 to your door.

If there is anyone on here that lives close to me in Grand Rapids, I need a vehicle to do a write up on...please contact me a.s.a.p.!

Awesome!

At this point we are unsure how much longer we will be keepin our Expedition. We've been kicking around the idea of a new Grand Cherokee Summit diesel. I will let you know if we are still in for one soon.

I need to fix my 05' expedition pedals. From yours and others' description, the gear will be the issue. So if your brass gear is compatible, I'll be in for one.

I considered pulling the gear out and drawing it on a CAD program and submitting it to an emachinceshop.com like place. They can print a plastic mockup for fitting, then make it out of whatever you order. But if you have one already, that's just too easy to pass up!

Looks like quite a bit of interest by the responses here. I hope it works out for you (and all of the other people with this problem).

Yep its brass, the one in the truck is plastic. This set up is almost exactly like the set found in the Panther PLatform cars, I fixed that one almost a year ago. Let me know if you are interested!

Can you explain how to determine if it is this gear that is the problem?

All you have to do is push the button to move them, if they make noise but don't move 3 - 4 inches this gear is broken. If you have any other questions or wish to talk you can call me at the shop 616-988-1315

The motor makes a popping sound when the gear is stripped. I will be interested in this when there is a write up.
