wow, congrats on the 04 L! you mmusta just gotten it. This past weekend they started going on the lots in houston along side a couple unsold 03's. I picked up one of the last few 03's about 5 weeks ago cause I knew they'd be trying to move em!
yea, hell a "few mods" will get us into the 12's... if you find a used chip and get it reburned (~150 bucks), pulley (150-400 bucks) and filter (150-200 bucks) you will more than likely be in the high 12's. that's pretty impressive for a truck for only 450-550 bucks.
either way, a supercharged hemi would be cool. I dunno though, the hemis are nice, but they seem to be having some problems right now and they seem to fall FLAT on their face around 60 MPH. so it could still be interesting...supercharged motors have so much potential. if this hemi came with forged internals, it could be interesting, because while the base-line model might be slower, they can theoretically withstand more boost than us current L guys.
only time will tell. anywho, congrats again on the new L man, what color? ENJOY IT it's a beauty and a beast all in one!!
-Mike
P.S. call 1800fordsvt and give em your VIN and just in case they dont have it. you get a free book (worth 50 bucks) and a hat and crap. they didn't have me in their system 5 weeks after my purchase, so I'm glad I verfiied it!

mike, congrats to you too, I got a black 04' with the black terano cover and bed liner the interiors on the 04' have black woven cloth inserts on grey suade/leather seats.
I hope to buy those mods soon . I was wondering if you need a different supercharger belt to run the overdrive supercharger pulley. also I dont know where to get a chip and get it programmed in my area. augusta,ga
congrats on you L too I have always wanted one and finally got one this week.

yep, 04 L's are exactly like 03's with the addition of silver.
no need for a local area tuner to get a chip. just try www.teamjdm.com or www.johnnylightningperf.com, order it, tell them your mods, and then they'll make ya one!
it's more economically sensible to buy mods along with the chip, because after a few reburn they become expensive. so if you're gonna start modding, go ahead an save up a few bucks, think carefully about where you reasonably want to be within the next couple weeks, then order the parts along with a custom burnt chip. just my $.02
(edit: personal opinion? JLP is a better company based on customer satisfaction, and timeliness.... I have no personal gruffs with either though.)

To the best of my knowledge (I work for a Ford dealer) the '04 F150l will be the same as the 03, the 04HD will be available in the old F150 style same as 03, or in a new f250-350 rig, with the turbo diesle in black and h/d orange. the 05F150L will be allot like the concept, 500hp 500ft/lbs, w/ 22"s and the six speed, but auto might be an option. the HD pickup may be available in the F150 new body style for 05 if the superduty truck thing isn't popular.

Don't know how much weight this holds but, I was at the auto show this weekend and was speaking with a manufacturers rep (not a local sales person) about the new F-150 and the different options and such. The rep was walking us from truck to truck explainig the details we were asking about when I looked over at the Concept Lightning and said "I wish they were making that thing". The rep looked around and with some hesitation said that SVT is probably going to release it as a 2005 or 2006 model. I didn't press for details because of the hesitation. So, later in the discussion on the F-150s It came out that I had an 03 Expy and a fairly modified 66 Mustang. The rep then revealed that they were close with someone who works in the SVT division.
