Not terrible, but I was doing it in the SFV heat we had about three weeks to a month ago.

Not looking forward to the pinion seal job at all!

I'm trying to laugh and be happy, but I've got this tear in my eye.

Sheriff John Rovick, Los Angeles TV icon was 93 - LA Observed

We loved Sheriff John around our house.

Sheriff John sounded like one of a kind.

Not that I was a big fan of the modern gas can and it's flimsy spout / safety mechanism...

Plastics News - Beleaguered gas can manufacturer Blitz USA closing down

but shuttin' down the whole works is extreme. I'd gladly pay $25 for a quality spout and auto cut-off over the trash on the store shelves today.

I'd bet you also remember Bill Stulla!

Engineer Bill - YouTube

And maybe even Skipper Frank!

Engineer Bill, yes. We lost him a few years ago.

Never heard of Skipper Frank. I'll have to check Wiki on him.

So, what was wrong with the Blitz gas cans?

Went to a car show today (taking pics of plymouth flat heads apparently)

Some real beauties out there - most capable of going up and down

and very loud music...

Question for NumberDummy

Bill,

Do you know the make and year/model of this old automobile?

Yes, that's a most-intelligent operator pictured therewith.

Unless you're before by 5 am, I'll be on the road to Texas.
