i am prepareing to go on a 4400 mile round trip road trip. my truck has 58k on the clock, oil has about 3k miles on it, will it be safe to run another 4k on it? should i change the plugs since they are do at 6k? anthing i missed?

 

An oil change will be cheap insurance and more importantly peace of mind. Your plugs can wait. I wouldn't think 6k would make a world of difference. I'd make sure your tranny is tip top and the trans cooler is also. same thing does double for your radiator. Heat will be your biggest enemy.

Properly inflated tires and a insurance program of a tire plug, tire goo, or AAA

no tranny cooler, i have manual tranny will check the rad tho. do you think the f150 can hold the 2k lbs of axles?
(what i am picking up ) they are free, i just happen to be on a road trip lol

 

That's probably more payload than your truck can handle. If the axles are on a trailer, you won't have a problem, though.
