I got a new thermostat and before I put it in I put it in a pot of water on the stove with the old one. New one opened up around 195. Old one just started opening when the water got to boiling.. 212. So the thermostat was the problem. I don't know why I didn't just assume it might be the thermostat when I first started noticing my temps going up... but that is what is great about this forum. Put it in the truck and now the temp. gauge needle sits just below the 'o'. Thanks agian.

I have a dash gauge and an additional one. They both read the same and respond the same according to load and weather.

Glad ya got it fixed! I flushed my system... did t stat, housing, and coolant filter.
What used to run down the interstate at 75 on the M now sits on N maybe the O.

I noticed a mileage increase thats how bad it was.
