Oil you want 15w40 like Gerry said. oil filter use a good quality one. I can help you out with that or Charlie can as well.

Just got off the hwy have a ford dealer and Walmart very close by Waiting to hear from u as to what/ where to get supplies

Barry I forgot to ask is your truck gas or diesel fuel.......it makes a difference in the oil & filter

Barry early in the day is good for me. I get off work at midnight tomorrow. say 1000. I will pm you my number. as for an oil filter the motor craft filters are good. I use them on my truck in my signature. as for oil 15w40 and say Mobil 1 or motorcraft oil. those are my preferences. you usually get the oil and filters at Walmart and save a few bucks over what the dealer and the parts store would charge.

You'll need some rags too Barry.......it can be a messy job

Use Shell Rotella 15 w 40 in that, it has zdp in it for your flat tappet cam. I would go to advanced because they will look up the filter for you, and make sure you get the proper wrench to remove the filter, as I said before, the filter is larger in diameter that a normal filter.
I use luberfiner filters on all my diesels, but you can go with Baldwin, or motor craft. Btw, you need to pick up 4 gals, as you will use 14.5 qts

Wally world for oil rotella 15/40 and Fram xg3786 filter went 2 PepBoys for wrench bought 2 kinds of strap wrenches to see which works better Back 2 the house 4 afternoon chores
