Do you get any codes when you run the self-test?

not getting any check eng light so i did not check for codes ill go check that now sorry feel dumb for not having done that lol brb

That's not a valid code for these trucks. An 89 truck should show 2 digit codes.

it was a 2 2 then a long pause then 6 7 so that would be a 22 and a 67 right ?

The 22 say you may have a bad MAP sensor. Check the vacuum line to it and the electrical connection.
I think the 67 is because you did not hold the clutch down during the test or you left the AC on.

would a bad map make it not fire the fuel injectors? and yes i did not hold the clutch down

do you think its my computer guys ? i see a post about a guy with almost the same thing going on on his truck ?
i start a new job in a week and need to get this figured out let me know what you think and thanks again

Could very well be the computer.

One last check I'd do is very continuity between Pin 56 on the computer and the pin labeled 6 on the TFI module.

again had to wait for a day off i did check the cont from pin 56 to pin 6 on the tfi like you said to its good im off for the next 5 days but i start the new job in 6 days have to figure this out thanks again for all the help guys

Just a update and thanks again guys i installed the new computer and still no luck but the guys at the parts store took it back .I then replaced the map sen and the tps and the dam thing started right up never heard of ether of them causing a no start before but one of them sure did or maybe it was the combo of the 2 at the same time .It never thru a code for the tps the guy at the parts store was like hell you may as well try it lol .

Just wanted to let you all know what it turned out to be and to say thanks for your help
