Exclamation New Ford Transit WIll Probably Come With A 3.2-liter I5 Diesel

Here is a link about the new motor.

The New Ford Transit WIll Probably Come With A 3.2-liter I5 Diesel

Here is Fords overseas info about the motor. Sounds good to me, lets hope we get the 6 speed. 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi I5 which churns out 147 kW (200 PS / 197 hp) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque.

Moderators, is it time to add a Transit section to the forums?

I actually imported one of those 3.2L engines in the front half of a wrecked euro transit. I was gonna use it for an engine swap in a ranger, but decided against it once I saw how complex the engine was. Parts would not have been available either, and i went with a 4bta.

I've already got 25k set aside to get my hands on a used/wrecked unit to start a 4wd conversion project.

I planted it into a boat. Its quite happy there, though the ECU was a bitch to make work.

LOL that 3.2L makes 27 more HP than my 6.9L V8 Diesel, and the same torque!

I'll still keep my 1985 170HP 6.9L Diesel van over that ugly thing any day!

Nothing "ugly" about the fact that the European Transit turbo diesel 6 speed manual also makes about twice the MPG compared to your "1985 170HP 6.9L Diesel van" every day!
