The sacrifices we make for our kids

Last fall we bought a 52 F-1 for my son for graduation/birthday/ Christmas etc. We spent through April working on it(new trans, bodywork, paint, wheels etc.) He had a 93 Dodge dually so I took it in trade for the 52. Last weekend he came home from his school in Oklahoma and asked if he could have the Dodge back. He said the 52 was just too small. So being the kind caring Dad that I am, I took one for the team and now I have a really slick F-1 to drive while I finish my panel truck.

Sometimes the sacrifices are almost more than I can stand.

You, Sir, are an inspiration to the rest of us. After reading your touching post about the sacrifices you've made for your son I will strive to be a better father.

Hey Gdub,
That really sucks! Crap - well just take one for the team &
limp around in that old "too small" truck!

Looking good over there!

This story really brought a tear to my eye I might have to educate my boy's and let them read this story, to let them know just how lucky we have it up here in Canada. I'm really distraught, I've never in my life seen a father sacrafice like you. I have to go now, my emotion's have got the better of me'

gdub, Allow me to offer an upgrade to my 2000 Ford Expedition...?
As a token of my appreciation? You deserve this newer vehicle, for all you have suffered...

Looks like a very nice ride to me . . . Could he be moonlighting with Uship? I'm sure that it is just me but I always liked the smaller cabs as the girls always sat closer. And I don't know what school he goes to in Oklahoma but any I ever attended had serious parking problems. I can't imagine the problems that he will have finding a parking spot big enough for a dually. Don't be surprised if he changes his mind.
