97 f350 2wd crew cab dually NEED HELP PLEASE!!
I just recently bought a 97 F350 7.3l to pull my mud truck around on weekends. I had a buddy scan the truck for codes and I got the famous cam sensor....which I replaced yesterday. Truck idles a lot better and doesnt stall now. The problem im having is when going down the road sometimes there will be a power loss and loud hissing up front. I read on some posts that the EBPV causes this. But if I let off the throttle completely and let it coast for a second or two then get back on it, the truck will take off until this happens again
Is this what I am expieriencing??? I unplugged the EBPV from under the turbo and still had the same issue. Can I unplug it and use a wire or something to keep it pulled open??? The truck is not throwing any codes for this, and i checked the MAP sensor and the lines were not clogged. Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated! I will need to tow with the truck this weekend so hopefully it is a simple fix.
