AH, probably old and bad wiring. Probably will be a total loss.

 

Yeah it is going to be a total loss. When I went past the area heading home it looked like the roof had caved-in. I couldnt be certain though since there was still some smoke and steam coming from the bldg. From I have also heard it started about 1800 hrs. I went past it at about 2220.

Its a shame. I love crabs.

 

This is a little family owned place. They might not rebuild. But I guess time will tell. They need to sort everything out right now.

 

I am sure they will get a nice insurance check.

 

They might Tim. Not sure if they had any on it or not and if they did how much. I remember a few yrs ago we had a paper place near my house that would burn down once a yr, Always determined to be arson.

 

I certainly hope so. Insurance is pretty much required for a business license in a lot of places. Who know though.

 

It is going to be a wait and see thing at this point Tim. They will have to wait until the investigation is finished before the insurance if they have it will do anything. I know the fire investigator is there now looking to see what started the fire.

 

Probably arson. Someone needed a payday!

 

Any time there is a big fire where they cant get to where the fire started they will call for the investigator here Tim. They would rather have him there to say it was accidental or something else then not and have it turn out to be something like arson.

 

Smart move. The insurance company probably requires it anyhow. I certainly would.

 

Usually before they pay they want to lnow if it was arson or not.
