Can You Identify This 1949 Ford Truck? (Pic)

It was on ebay a few weeks ago. I thought maybe it had been here before and that someone may know who restored it? That is a Virginia antique plate on the front. I have not been able to trace it. Also, it may have previously been licensed in New Jersey.

Looks like most of the work on the truck was done a few years ago.

Just making a wild stab in the dark.

Hey, the hood moldings are on correctly!

I can't identify the owner, but I can tell you that it has one-piece fiberglass front fenders and a 51-52 bed with (likely fiberglass) 51-52 rear fenders. I'm sure that it has alot of other modifications.

It does look nice, however.

Looks like nice paint work too. I don't think I have seen an antenna in that spot before though.

There's a lot to like about that truck! The stance is great and the color is pretty nice too.

I saw one just like it on a car hauler on hwy 101 this Sunday. It was headed north through San Jose. I guess it was this truck's twin brother.

Thanks for the info. The front fenders are fiberglass, something I did not know. I was just thinking that whoever restored the truck probably would come to a forum like this to seek info and advice once in a while. I sure would like to find him to learn more about the truck.

Here is a couple more pics:

How's that? Yeah they're chromed, but how are they incorrect?

ohsixx, It's been my experience that people who buy pristine, finished trucks and cars like that don't hang around forums like this very much. They're the ones who will log on maybe once a year and say something like "My mechanic needs to know where he can find a wheel cylinder for my truck" or "My mechanic says I need to bleed the brakes. Is that a hard job, or should I let him do it?...." NOT ALL are like that, but it seems quite a few are. Don't get me wrong, there are some VERY nice and pristine trucks on this forum, but just about every single one was built by the owner who is a member here. That might explain why none of us seemingly know the truck.

Very nice looking truck. Not so wild that even I would drive it with a right side mirror installed.
