Good morning all.
Gerry, too bad about the rain. Make the most of it I guess.
Darren, if you want to try to get acclimated to teh African heat, come spend all of next August with me. The dry African heat will be a relief for you.
Steve, I had my grill up to 475* and let it cook for 20 min. Gave me a crisp crust and a great smoke flavor. It was one of those fresh made pizzas from Walmart. Turned out excellent!
Good luck with the mortgage. When I bought this house a little over two years ago, I had to jump through hoops and fax off tons of paperwork. I refinanced last year for 15 years and had to repeat the process. They are hounding me again to refi now, and it will only save me $40 a month for 15 years. After you roll in closing costs, I don't think the savings are worth the headache.
I spent yesterday evening with the ex, watching my daughter cheer. It was a pleasant evening. So far this morning, I have filled out financial aid papers for my daughter for Yale. They seem to have fewer hoops (at least for now) than the mortgage company. I have also fired up the smoker again. I have two racks of ribs, and two pork loin roasts on the smoker now, and have a 12 lb brisket rubbed and ready to smoke when the pork gets wrapped at 11. I should be finished with everything by 7 this evening. That's going to require a lot of beer. Thankfully, I refilled my stock yesterday.
Here's some meat **** for you guys.
Have a great day gang! I know I will.

Thank you Tim. The ribs are a first attempt. The roasts and brisket are trying to find perfection - as in trying to find the technique and spices that I really like. I've enjoyed all of the ones I've done previously, but none of them were quite where I wanted them to be. Hopefully, the ribs turn out great the first time.
Glad you weren't near the bad stuff.
