302 throttle linkage

302 throttle linkage
I have a '50 F2 with a 302/C4 swap. I am trying to figure out the best way to run the throttle linkage, carb to gas pedal. I found an old thread but Julies pics are no longer available.
Anyone else who has made this swap have some pictures? Did you retain the original gas pedal?
Apparently, what Julie did was "... braze an extension on the lower left side that sticks up as high on the left as the right side does, and hooked a lengthened adjustable solid rod from it to my Edelbrock 750.". I understand what is described but would love to see pics of this or other setup.
Thanks.

I ended up scrapping the original pedal and went with a Lokar pedal and cable assembly. The only hard part was putting a hole in the floor for the lever on the back of the pedal...not to hard, but everything else was pretty easy. The cable came with good fittings to attach the cable to the carb, and brackets for the throttle return springs (springs included too).

I used a more modern pedal box from a miata (brake & gas pedals), then used a lokar kit for the throttle cable and kickdown linkage. You can get a universal braided cable if you go down this route which you cut down to the correct length to match your pedal setup and carb linkage brackets. Mine works a treat and I got some nice pedal covers to match the other bits in my interior as well.
