ey everyone. With planning the wedding and everything, I have been able to make a couple trips back home. With my dads help as well, I finally got to drive the truck! Only a few times around the block and only got it into second gear but man was that a good feeling. I am considering putting the truck together as it is and maybe driving it a bit, and work on paint a little at a time. I think if I wait until I can get the whole truck in paint, it will be a couple years until the truck gets on the road. Plus since Michigan has no inspections, I don't have to worry about doing any enhanced inspection or anything.
I also have one of my dad driving, Just waiting for it to upload.

Classic. I like it.
Your plan really makes sense. Put the front clip on, make sure it is safe, and put some miles on it. There are so many life interruptions that always emerge to derail long term plans for non-essential time demands; allow yourself to live in the present, with what you have, is a sound approach. Enjoy the journey.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Driving the truck too. I'm with Dave thinking your dad would have smoked 'em a bit. At least a little doughnut action in the driveway. Maybe he's waiting for you to do it first. Get it together and drive it some. If your still motivated to paint later you will have the experience on how to put it back together without scratching the new paint.
