After the teaser shot, here's the spill. I traded the Jeep for the Lariat. Even swap. We were both happy, so it was all good. It's a 2001 F150 XLT Lariat 4x4, 5.4L, with 170K+ miles. Gotta fix the odometer so I can verify that. The old girl runs like a top. He had the interior cleaned and a new windshield put in it to make the trade. Biggest need for it at the moment is that I've got to find some tires for it. The ones that are there sing too much and the fronts are shot. If anyone's got some 265/70R17 laying around, holler at a brother!!

Registered it today... personalized tag and all - $55.... Love livin' in the county.....

Looks good Chris. 5.4 is impressive. Has it ever had the plugs changed?

Yep. PO says the fuel mileage jumped from 13 to 19 when he changed the plugs. I have my doubts, but he was familiar with how they should be torqued, so I'm gonna let it ride and say they have within the last year.... The old girl runs out good. Very smooth...

Hello Mississippi. Red >> Nice truck. I had a great day today. I ran a motor grader and lost my phone. They remembered my foreman on the job had a phone, it was nice while it lasted.

David, you were yelling me about a seal or gasket in the vicinity of the brake booster on the wife's Mountaineer. You remember this conversation?

Yeah, its a brake system hiss in the firewall area related to Escapes/Mariners/Tributes but also may be common to Explorer platform too. I think it was an O-ring of some sort.

On Edit:

Ummm, how's about "yaking" vs "yelling".... I don't think I got that carried away on the subject.
