Even if it's been really good to get this far, my luck says it reaches the end of it's good luck period about 6 months after I buy it.

If it were a 7.3, you'd be pretty good with those. Maybe an HPOP too.

With a 6.0, the head studs seem to be the expensive repair, especially if not caught early.

I know. I'm just kidding anyways. I am on th same principle as Michael, can't pay for it out right, don't really want it. At least for vehicles, snowmobile, well......

Yes you did. I still have a loan on my current truck. That needs to get paid off before I find anything else. The plan was to sell the minivan and pay off the truck, then look for something in a year or so when we have the cash. Now with the trans being bung, I'm debating what to do. I could do a used trans for about 950, but I don't have very good luck with stuff like that. I found a rebuilt for about $2200 (+ 900 core charge). I like that idea, but don't like the idea of spending that kind of money on something I may not keep. If I do the rebuilt, I'll probably keep it a bit longer. Still debating.

I tell ya...

Put a new caliper on the passenger side front of the Ranger, and pads on both sides. It was pulling hard, and I couldn't compress the ps caliper. Driving it home and the damn left side locked up so bad it burned the paint right off the new pads. Should have done them both...

I HATE CARS!

I agree Dave. Last week on the excursion I checked and cleaned the slide pins. All good but on the way to Maine the rear left one, the piston apparently seized. Had smoke rolling off it. Out came the hammer and beat on it. The heat cycle freed it up but new one very soon

Long day is long.

No Lee, this is a new Dodge that Dave hasn't seen yet. I think we have 2 others that he hasn't seen.

Evening guys! More haying today, but the silo was full when I shut down for the evening. Grilled pork chops on the firepit tonight, so supper was great tonight! Made a beer run tonight as my buddy and I are planning to get some work on my truck tomorrow night. We should be good to go now! Sitting around tonight watching Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, and having a Nordeast!

I hate even more when someone describes a problem (over the phone) and that ISN'T IT............
