Some smoking deals there. My msrp was $46,510. After wheeling and dealing, we shook hands at $35,664. So far I'm happy with the 6.7. My HyperLite camper weighs in at 7200# loaded +/- and I hardly know it's back there. Also I'm getting 17 mpg pulling in the NE La hills. Man that's one strong engine!

About to join the club boys!!! But obviously, I'm not about to overpay to do so. Planning on buying F250/lariat. I can get x plan through the company my brother works for, but I am unaware of how it actually works. I went to the dealer today and was offered $4500 in incentives ($3k-rebate, $1k- ford motor credit, and $500 for a membership). If I was to use x plan, are these incentives taken OFF after the x plan pricing is set?(1% over invoice or whatever it is)
Sticker/MSRP is $58,980. Was offered $12k trade, $4500 rebate, plus tax/title/liscense/fees to clear around $45,500 out the door without ANY negotiation, was just looking for initial ballpark. This is WITHOUT the dealer knowing about my x plan capabilities.
I'm curious to know where you guys think I can get this or where I should be without overpaying too much. The trade offer is fair, but probably could be another $1000 higher. Suggestions/comments? I appreciate it! Cant wait to own one of these bad boys!

Ive had it with my 6.4. Gonna have to trade. Ive ALWAYS been a Ford guy but the problems Ive had with this one coupled with the poor customer service - I'm now on the fence. I was curious as to what you guys got off the MSRP price on your 6.7 models. I know regions vary - I live in SC. Ford hasnt really stepped up to the plate on this and I surely dont want to give them anymore $$$ than I have to.

costs
When you start to get close to the bottom line dollar amount, you may be able to negotiate for some extras, like bedliner or free oil change, or a few future diesel gas purchases, or other things. The value for you is high but their costs are lower and when explained to them they usually agree. (Example bedliner may cost you $500 but their costs might be just over $200.)
I made one mistake when negotiating my diesel gas. I should have made it 200 litres rather than 2 future fill ups because cause I don't like running the tank near empty and then filling it up.

X-Plan minus the $4500 in rebates should put you at around 48-49. Then you subtract out your equity in your trade. I assume you are saying you have 12k positive equity. If this is the case that would bring it down to 37k selling price. Then you add in your Tax, Tag, and Title etc. I would say around 39k out the door, no more than 40k is my best guess.

There are some good deals that have been had...
When I was looking for a replacment truck in Sept/Oct of 2011, the 2011's were HIGHLY discounted. My problem was getting a green one with all the potions I was looking for. I did find a 2011 similar to the truck I ended up ordering, but it was missing a few options I really needed. It was stickered at 59.7K and I was able to buy at a little over
46K. Ultimately I ended up ordering a 2012, but the 2011 was a heck of a deal.
If I was looking again, I'd start my search about a month early and see what was avail on the lots and work from there. Dealers are always looking to unlaod inventory when the next model year is being produced.

Mine stickered at 62K, told the salesman I've got six grand to put down, can you get me out the door for 48K? Only question was if we agree to this will you take delivery tonight? I don't know what all rebates or discounts were applied, but they got it there. Did do the fomoco credit, so I know that was a thousand off - but I refinanced a week later with my credit union. May not have been the best deal, but I think I did okay.
My fiance' says when he's ready to buy, he's sending me in to work the deal and he'll just wait outside to sign the papers.....
