Good morning and enjoy a cold beverage on this thirsty Thursday TN

Working plumbing is a good thing.

Yeah - sure...

Until you tell a family "DO NOT use this toilet until it is done..."

And then have to dig UNDER THE HOUSE the next morning....

Been there, and it's why I won't do that anymore

I was told 12" was wide enough to make it stand up. I think sportsmans would prevent a lot of slippage tho -

And that could make them last longer, even if it
STOOD STRAIGHT UP!

I'm seriously thinking about a HOOSIER street tire like that

Similar to the Mickey Thompson SPORTSMAN, but a harder and better wearing compound
(Something I can get miles out of)

I know, I know - why do I want to drive a "JUMPER" on the street...

If I could tell you - I prolly wouldn't go there, I'd already have the answer

It will also call for extensive bed mods to fit the tires

But if you HAVE just one shot at a dream, and you can DO THAT THING...

Well...

~PICK A DIRECTION~

What chassis configuration is it? Long, short, extended cab? May need to pour a concrete pad in the bed to give it enough weight to plant those tires

It ain't nothin' special - just a plain jane shorty

-My next one likely won't be tho....
(I like extra leg room)

It's THIS one:

ZZTOP rules!!!

*It already looked aggressive just like it was...

That's nice shape. I had a 92 4x4 extra cab standard. Drove it like 10 years almost 100k. Loved it. I had a 87 extra cab 2 wheel drive that I bought cheap and was going to do a v8 swap but never did and sold it

I think I just lucked into that - I noticed myself (and had a few comments by others) that it just had a look all of it's own after the tire and wheel changes I made.

It seemed aggressive, in a way that is hard to fathom but really is there.

It has a strange "PRESENSE"

It looks like more than it is...

It is definitely a "WOLF" truck

Be a sweet sleeper. Until they hear the exhaust. Are you putting a 8.8 rear under it?

I figured a flowmaster exhaust - it won't be quiet. Not by any means!
*Flowmaster builds mufflers that don't muffle - they make the "SOUND RIGHT"
*Did you know that?

373 L/S from an Exploder will be the axle, once I cut off the saddles and weld them in position for the right angle
Explorer axles are bolted from underneath, I can't accept that.

I need to explain that better.

THE AXLE in an Explorer is bolted DOWN.

It is above the leaf springs, so the only thing holding it is the U-BOLTS

For solidity - I want my axle housing UNDER the leaf springs

~It makes it stronger

Yes I am very familiar with the explorer axel. I've owned a few first and second generation ones. Actually I put one in that 92 ranger I owned because it was 3.73 ratio to replace the 3.25 or something that was in the truck originally. Along with the front pumpkin to match the rear ratio

410 L/S is supposed to be the ideal drag truck axle - if you can find one!

Cost you a chunk of change to make it bullet-proof once you locate it though....

(so I was told)

I would think that explorer 8.8 will hold up to that 351. Has 31 spline axles plus your truck is pretty light. Good luck finding that combo though
