1950's Ford COE / Cab Over C800 height and width dimensions?

Hi all, Can anyone please assist in providing the dimensions of a stock 1950's (1956 ideally) Ford COE C800? Mainly need height and overall width, not so much length.

Trying to work out if I can fit it in a shipping container to ship it - might need the wheels off to get the height down, but not sure if it will fit....

Container door width is 7ft 8 1/8 inches (2.343m) and a height of 7ft 5 3/4 inches (2.280m). I think I have a few inches clearance width wise and hopefully with tyres off fit in height wise or with the wheel completely off.

Appreciate any help anyone can offer... Thanks!

Let the air out of the tires if you need clearance instead of taking the wheels off.

C-800 is a monster of a beast! Also it probably has dayton wheels My first guess is about 10-20" tires. ??
I will take a swag at it and guess that its at least 8 to 9' tall ?? Big guess though .

I'll try to measure the 52 F-5 COE thats in storage and see if I that may get you some ideas?

where is truck located? have you purchased it or thinking about it? have the owner do a quick measurment so you will know for sure.

Ok so its an f5 coe. has one 7.50x20 and one 8.25x20 front tires& wheels. the frame was cut in half behind the cab and ive just got the rear of the frame resting on the.ends of 16" concrete blocks. the rough measurments were abouy 7.5 tall. sorry its not a more precise measurment. I may take a 2x4 and try to get a better measurment later.

here is a picture for reference.

A stock F1 has to be close to 7 feet tall itself. I'm 6 foot tall and I can't see the top of the roof when I stand next to it. A conventional F6 is taller yet. I would expect a giant COE to be in the neighborhood of 9 feet tall.

Thats exactly what I was thinking for an F700 F800 COE. This 54 C800 Super duty is so tall! I was standing on top of a big equipment hauling trailer with stuff piled on it when I took this picture.

I'm about 5'10" 5'11" and I dont think my head even came up to the door handle on this beast, Maybe Eye level if I stood on my tiptoes

56 C600 for reference.

here is a chart I was looking for, (thanks Stu for posting it a while back)
So if I didn't miscalculate it is approx 7.82 feet with 8.25x20 tires but remember this is an F6 not a Super Duty! I think maybe you could squeeze a f6 in the container with flat tires? but a Big Super Duty?? Post pictures if you can, we want to see.

Here is another shot of my 53 C600 with I think 6" lift blocks next to a 52 F5 COE
the 51 had 7.50x20 tires on it

Thanks so much everyone - this has been perfect! I have since bought the truck - located in Arizona and getting a little bit of work done on it before sending it home. Good news is it will fit in a container, so all will work out ok! Thanks everyone - will send pics when it arrives.

Thats a beautiful truck. looks perfectly straight and i dont see any rust from the picture. Its.a great starting point for sure. love the short wheelbase too.
what are your plans for it?

after seeing that its a C600 and not an 800 Super Duty like the red one I posted above I would think its a lot closer to the sizing from the chart. Truckdog posted one of those for a 54 coe a while back but i couldnt find it.

Thanks Josh. Just getting basic running now in the US with the stock drive train. Ship back and probably change to a big block, 24 inch Alcoa rims and make a stepside bed for it, but leave it fairly original otherwise....
