I tow 95% of the time. Most of my trips are with 10,000lb and 14,000lb trailers. I also tow a 17,000lb trailer a few times a month. No problems at all with the 6.7 and I must say my 6.4 has never worked better than when it is towing regularly.

Seems like some of you have been offended by this person's post (question). I think the question was asked to compare the amount of engine problems with the amount of towing and or hauling activity not to say you should not buy and use a truck for fun or as a daily driver.

I think there is nothing wrong with owning a diesel just to drive it, the same reason you would buy a V8 instead of a V6 Mustang! (keep it Ford )

I tow about 15k lbs of WVO once a month and haul about 3k once a week, this weekend I picked up 650 gallons of WVO, plus my pump was over 5k lbs in the bed. And the truck handled it great!!

Well, i am among the worst offenders - i bought an F350KR DRW as my daily driver - why? - because it is an awesome, fun, powerful, comfortable, pride-inspiring piece of machinery - every time i hoist myself into the drivers seat, it puts a big smile on my face - to me, that is reason enough

I just like bad a$$ trucks and fast cars. The F250 fits the truck part just fine. The cars in my signature take care of the need for speed.

BTW, the F250 hauls a set of golf clubs like they're not even there.

This spring and summer I'm usually towing something about everyday. Either 20ft cargo trailer, smaller trailer with Kubota ZD326 zero turn diesel,or mostly gooseneck dumpbed usually about 15,000lbs. This thing loves to pull.

i only have about 1300 miles so far and have only towed (10klb camper) maybe 200 of theose miles. i would say about 700 of the miles are unloaded interstate driving, and the rest (400) are all in town daily driving back and forth to work (8 miles one way...4 trips a day).

it is mainly a daily driver but will tow the camper when needed...maybe a dozen times a year (less than 2500 miles total) i avgerage about 10,000 miles a year so about 25% of the time it will be towing.

My point is that there is lot of forums out there my turbo is not working or I am getting bad MPG because my engine is doing active regen ECT. The truck was deigned to work. Pull and haul heavy loads. I just want to know what percentage of trucks are doing what they are designed for.

I have had 5 diesel trucks (over 2 million on four of them) three 7.3 and one 6.0 (and my present on 6.7). I have had no engine problems (with 7.3 and 6.0 jury still out on the 6.7) with any of these trucks. The only problems I did have tires, brakes, ball joints tie rod ends all things that ware out. All these trucks towed constantly. I would still own one of the 7.3 if it would not be for the rust factor
You asked and I answered, my truck never comes close to what it was designed for, I thought that was your question....oh well.
