Is the 110 power up front new for 13? Or was this option in 2012?

The 110 outlet wasn't mentioned in the '12 order guide so I bet it's something new.

Anyone notice the Lariat stamp on the badge? I didn't realize that the Platinum is just a package and not a trim level. I wasn't a huge fan of the MyTouch in the dash until I saw that the top pops open and there's some goodies there (2 USB ports, another 12V accy plug, A/V input, storage). I don't think I'll ever get over the tailgate, bleh.

Grill is nicer, don't like tailgate either, nor are the painted bumpers a goos idea in my climate. Rock chip city. I also find it funny that many interior parts look the same, like TBC and auxiliary switches, similar like my lariat seats ect.

 

It's also that way on the window sticker. So this really isn't a whole different trim level as it was made out to be.

Don't like the platinum tailgates (on the F150 either).

Is that screen only part of the Platinum package or will it be part of the Lariat and up packages?

 

We need to find out if the bright metal on the tailgate can just be peeled off and reveal a normal tailgate underneath.

 

Ya the 110 power plug in the video is where my sync/usb plug is on my 11', must be a 13 change then.

My kr is the same for the Lariat badge, says Lariat, guess the Platimun is same, really is just an "add on" to the Lariat package.

Ya hopefully there are no mounts behind that huge silver thing on the tailgate, I was thinking though, might look ok if it was painted black?...going with a theme if someone did black rims as well? I highly doubt I will ever own a Platimun, but thats probably what I would do.

 

I actually like the brushed aluminum tailgate trim.

Not really into high end trucks though; I've had one XL and three XLTs. Lots of showy stuff there, but it comes at a cost.

 

Wish they would have done something different on the dash. I really hate the woodgrain.

 

The 110 up front is new for 2013, I think the tailgate thing is just a stick on and im pretty sure the my touch is available on the regular lariat too. The my touch was one of the reasons I went with a 2012 instead of waiting, I'm sure it's got lots of neat features, and I wouldn't mind the larger screen, but I think it made the dash look hideous.

 

Did everyone see the "auto up" on the pass side front window?

What is needed is a real 110 outlet. I don't remember them saying it was just about worthless in the promotion

 

I saw that lol, didn't see the heat/cool seats buttons though, they moved. Was also looking for the "heated steering wheel" button, but never seen it.
