If that's true it is indeed a very lucky find. I can't hardly imagine how a truck, a work vehicle could have survived 55 years without a dent or ding in it. I thought I found an exceptional 56, you definitely have me beat. It must have had a very easy life. It's yours, do what you want with it.

You're right, very lucky find. It has some small minor dings and dents, but did not get a whole lot of use. The original interior shows minimal wear for a truck that is 56 years old. I'm going to leave it alone, drive it and enjoy it. It will be in our town's 4th of July parade next week! Ironically, I purchased it hoping to find a truck I could modify a bit. This is not the truck to do that to. It's just too original.

My cousin had a pristine 55 Ford crown Vic sunliner (with the glass roof) in storage in the 70's. He had pulled the engine apart to rebuild it. He was out of work and couldn't afford to get it running or pay the storage any more so he sold it for a pittance. Couple weeks later a guy came by to see him. His boss owned a large Ford dealership and had heard of the car and wanted to buy it. He was willing to pay 10 times what my cousin had sold it for. Maybe you can keep it and enjoy it or find someone who is willing to pay big bucks for it.
