2011 F250 sag when loaded - What's the cure?

Love my 2011 F250 CC4WD Lariat, other than the sag when it's loaded and towing my camper.

Hooking up the trailer (which weighs about 7,000lbs empty), I have significant sag. My old 2008 F250 didn't have this much sag, for sure!

(as a side note, my truck has plow-prep package, so the front sits higher than the rear when empty, which looks really stupid)

So, how do I go about keeping the good (unloaded) ride, level it out, and not have it squat like crazy when loaded?

I really don't want anything that I have to mess with (ie, air bags) and don't want to spend a fortune. Truck is driven empty 90% of the time.

Thoughts?
Air Bags
Add a Leafs
Maxloader springs

??

Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

You may be able to get away with a set Timbrens. They are not expensive, require no maint and will not affect the ride when empty. They will improve loadhandling and ride when loaded. If the Timbrens don't fit the bill I'd go with a set of Firestone airbags with the in cab air control.

If you don't want to mess with anything, probably the Timbren or add a leaf is your option. With that, there's the potential of having a rougher unloaded ride. You would have more control with air bags, and could get either an in cab control, or the wireless compressor which would give you minimum fuss. I prefer the control I get with the airbags, and the wireless control is awesome. But that's just me.

I want to raise the rear even when empty, I'd have to have air in the bags to accomplish that (right?) which would firm things up.........

Would Timbrens raise it? I know AAL will.......

The add a leaf like in the link superdutyscaler posted will raise the rear when unloaded and the airbags will also. The Timbrens are really made to not do anything when unloaded, they touch the axle when loaded only.

If you want to go with something that raises the rear height and you don't have to adjust the add-a-leaf (or a new spring pack with more arch) is really your best bet. You will just have to deal with the possibility of a stiffer ride when empty.

Firestone offers a kit that is best of both worlds as far as empty ride quality and weight hauling is concerned. The height is in cab adjustable. The only con really is that it is expensive.

Why not just replace the blocks with taller blocks? Seems like the easiest way to accomplish what you are needing.

Maybe I am confused.... how can blocks correct an overload situation? Educate me please. I understand they could correct the OPs issue with the truck sitting nose high, but don't get how they could fix the overload issue?

X2. Even though it's technically an overload issue, but rather a load issue. It's still gonna squat with the F-350 blocks on there. It just starts the squat a little higher!

The 2" higher blocks will increase the height and that may work for the OP. I would just go with airbags, add-a-leaf and etc because it will help carry the load better with the trailer on. Its obvious Ford took some spring out of the 2011 trucks, probably to try and improve the ride. My 04' F-250 even came with an overload spring from factory and more leafs on the main pack than the 11'..

I think I'm going to put AALs on.

1) Will level the truck empty
2) Will reduce squat under load
3) Will help stabilize the truck when towing
4) Reasonably priced and Easy to install.

Any comments as far as brands? I've heard Pro-Comps.........any others?
