HELP!!! F350 V10 Stranded

Alright guys I am hoping that it is not the obvious answer and just something basic ...but it never seems that way does it....

It was roughly 100 degrees outside i was driving home from a quick trip to the grocery store. Slowing down for a stoplight the truck just died. Not a putter just straight turned off. It has a full tank of gas. Try to start it up and it wont turn over (crank). I can here the starter click like its trying to turn over and nothing. I am fearful that the motor is seized. I havent got back to it yet to try to turn it over by hand. I figured i'd get the posting up and see if I had any opinions before i got the truck pulled home. It a 1999 ford f350 v10 automatic tranny 4x4.

About 2 days ago the a/c pump went ( making all kinds of noises) and have one on the way. The pump couldnt have seized up and caused something like this could it? I know that typically would never be an issue but i am just trying for anything here.

if your battery is charged it's probably a seized engine. sorry

a seized ac pump would just have burnt the belt off. causing alternator not to charge causing truck to shut off. but if belt is on she probably a goner.

I got a engine if you need one but i'm in Oh WV PA area.

Did you try to jump it? Dead alt and dead battery would make it die suddenly, the heat sure isn't helping the battery any, and the starter would still be getting just enough to make it click for awhile.

I've already been down the blow spark plug road back in feb.... It just makes the thing sound like a tractor and makes you have to by an expensive little tap kit...

So..... I went down and pulled the serpentine belt off the truck and it fired right up... A/C pump is siezed... Must of been 1 in a million where the a/c pump siezed and didnt shred the belt... Looks like i either do the bypass kit for the a/c unit or bite the bullet and buy another compressor... Does anyone know if they are pretty easy to get out of there or is it quite the task to pull and get working correctly again?

I used a half inch drive breaker bar..... Just insert the square part of your 1/2 inch ratched make sure it is quite long (it will help you immensely). Push it towards the driver side and the belt will pull right off! Good luck I hope you get the same news

You can buy a/c bypass pulleys made by Dorman from Summit Racing. They are under $40. See if they have one to fit.
