Back to the 50's

If you want to see lots of Fords there is a great show coming up this weekened, June 21-23, at the MN State Fairgrounds. Last year there were over 11,000 registered vehicles, so there will be other brands too. All are from 1964 and older. If some FTE members are bringing their trucks it would be great if you would put a small sign on your windshield or something so we could make a connection. We have a committment to be at a banquet in ND on Saturday, so Friday will be our only day there this year. For those not familiar with this huge event check out the web site, msra.com or google Back to the 50's. We have gone to this show for many years and it would be great to meet a few FTE members there.

That's a great show. I made it about 10 years ago but it's a long trek for me...

I will be there to drool over all the cars and trucks. Of course I won't have my truck since its in pieces right now but I plan on getting lots of ideas.

I've always wanted to go to this show, but haven't made it yet.How cold is it up ther this time of year? 11,000 vehicles that is unimaginable! The videos of it on you tube show some nice rides. Someday we'll make it up there I hope. I'm getting ready for the Goodguys show in Des Moines Iowa the 29th, 30th, and the 1st. They have about 3500 cars and trucks there. Nice fairgrounds and nice rides.

It is a great show. An incredible amount of cars, music, vendors, and swappers. The weather is always anyones guess no matter where you are. The last three days it's been in the 90's. 75 at 6:00 this morning. The big concern for any car show is storms. With the show being at the fair grounds there are lots of trees providing shade and air conditioned buildings for some of the vendors and crafts. With that many cars one day gets you a good start on seeing them all, but all cars and trucks must be driven in, (not for trailer queens) so what you see is constantly changing.
