5th wheel hitch in short bed

hey guys, i just bought a 2005 f250 fx4 with a short bed. im going to be towing a 5th wheel designed for short bed trucks. i do have some questions about the set up.

1. i want to have a fuel tank toolbox combo in the bed. what ever i get wont be taller then the bed rails but im worried about the width. How much space do i have behind the hitch to the back of the bed?

2. the trailer i will be towing will be right about 10,000lbs, will i need a air bag set up?

3. i want to get a leveling kit and a little bigger tires for the truck. anyone have good suggestions that are aggresive but can hold up to the towing?

any input is appreciated. thanks guys.

I am running cooper discovery STT mud and snows..they tow very good and don't hold the heat.

A leveling kit should do the trick. Figure 20% of trailer gross for the kin pin wt. So 2K in the bed of the truck.

I don't have the toolbox combo or aux fuel tank so cannot answer that one.

I do have a shorty though. I have a reese slider but I really don't do to much sliding of the hitch with my 5er...only rarely for those extremely tight campgrounds.
