Just thought I'd make a comment about the locking hubs. Most of the folks I know in the Mountain Regions use the manual lock when we are in the back country to assure they are locked when you need them. The auto/ manual hubs in my 2002 F-350 had to be replaced at 160,000 km I replaced them with the old school Warn manual lock hubs as did most of the people and companys I know working in the back country.

With a 4" lift and aggressive tires, I think you should have an aggressive offset as well. 20x9 with 0 offset would be the min, 20x9 with -12 would work too and stick out about 1.25".
Andrew,
How does the offset piece work? I too want the trail Grapplers. There are several good ol boy truck shops around here that speak highly of ready lift. I want the TG wider than stock but not obnoxious.

I guess my question is how wide is too wide? I would think that under a heavy load or even rough off road use the tire could hit the fender well. I've pretty much made up my mind that I want ready lift stage 4 with the 5" rear blocks. I'll get that installed first then make my major wheel/tire purchase at the end of the year. Your thoughts?

What wheel are you planning on using?

Tire size/width is separate from offset. Offset is a measurement of the space between the hub flange and the center line of the wheel. More positive offset - Tucked inside the fenders. More negative offset - Sticking out past the fenders.

With that much lift I'd say you'll be fine with a 35x12.50x20 and have no contact issues.

Very nice. With the black paint it should look hot. I have forest green so I'm interested in black wheels. I like flat black but I don't know what brand I like yet. I want American made. I saw a lifted chevy the other day with 37" trail Grapplers and pro comp black wheels. Looked good.

Thats a really nice looking wheel. But if your half as **** as I am it will drive you crazy cleaning it. Trying to get into all the little slots and corners will take forever to clean. But if you stay on the road most of the time and you don't have alot of rain and bad weather you'll be fine. Here in Florida not so much.

-12 will stick out roughly 1.25-1.50".

0 will stick out roughly .75-1".

Front will be a bit more than the measurements stated above.

Either way it's your truck.

Ever had a tire shop scratch your rims installing new tires? I would be all over them if I were you tuxedo, this happened to me years ago when I drove a 1991 BMW 325i. I was very upset, I drove that car until it had 260,000 on it! Kept it mint. They don't make em like that anymore.
