I can't believe how good that 6.2 is.You really never hear anything bad about it.

If I was there I would have been just over 26k combined weight. My truck needs a diet too.

No recalibration at all. Not sure how much it is off. Any ideas?

And Scott I was running the 87 perf tune from 5 Star. I dont know any of the exact characteristics of the tune, except that empty it made the truck a ton more snappy and it has way better shifting points.

What size tires were originally on it? I based the one inch off what I think the factory 18" tires would be, but if you had something else, it could be even more.

The new tires radius measure 3/4" larger than the ones I took off. I'm not sure it made a huge difference at the meet. I believe my tuner took into account my tire size but I dont think it recalibrates anything.

Actually it does recalibrate your speedo. As long as you told mike at 5star the tire size you are currently running he would have set it right. You can check it with the tuner if you go into engine options when you load the tune. A 295/70/18 tire runs at 589 revs per mile. I wonder if it would have pulled any better with a tow tune loaded??

Thats what I thought. I remember loading in the tire size. I'm thinking of getting the tow tune and tring it out. I just dont tow anything all that heavy.

It almost looks like the trailer tires locked up. I have a similar dump trailer and have had the brake controller too high without a load and had the brakes lock up and leave long skinny skids like that. Although those almost look like it was grabbing, letting go, grabbing, letting go etc..... Were they there before you guys pulled? Is this the same road.

The concrete road in senix picture above is my driveway not the road in the pull videos and pics.

Sorry we missed ya! We'll be doing this again in about a year. "Buffalo Hill" is actually a section of County Road 292 in Millersburg, OH that runs from State Route 60 to the intersection of County Road 400. You won't find it labeled anywhere on a map or sign.

If you provided the tire size, it is almost certainly calibrated through the tune.

As always, great job everyone. Looks like I'm moving to upstate New York again in September, so I'll be a hundred miles closer for the next one!

Still really wish I could have made it...

And for the mystery photo, I would guess that one of the trucks either came to a stop or close to it trying to drag the trailer back into Mike's subdivision. In 2WD. Looks like it didn't go so well...
