Morning Nevada!
While traveling home yesterday I was honored to witness something I have never witnessed before.
On our flight from LAX (which originated in Honolulu) there was a sailor who was escorting the remains of his officer home. After I deplaned I was able to witness the officers flag draped casket being taken from the plane and into a hearst by 6 sailors. It was very somber to witness this. While watching I said a few prayers for the officer, his or her family and all the brave men and women who have sacrificed everything for our freedom as well as those currently serving today so we can continue to enjoy our freedoms.
Please keep this sailor and their family in your thoughts today if you can.
Joe.

Morning everyone,
TGIF! I hope it's a good one for ya!
Joe - How sad. I can almost picture it looking from the window seat of the plane. I'll definately say a prayer for them.
Dennis - That is some crazy weather you got. glad it's over for now.

It was very sad indeed...
Actually...we all let the sailor deplane first and then the rest of us deplaned...I was able to witness the event from inside the terminal at a terminal window...the gate where the plane parked just happened to have a very large window area looking out over the tarmak and we were able to view it from there...

Good afternoon everyone. I've only seen photos of those who gave all returning home. While we are remembering our troops, lets not forget those who put it on the line here in the states. The Firefighters, Police, and EMS.

Morning Nevada!
Well we had some strong storms blow through NE Indiana yesterday...left a pretty good wake of destruction...
We lost power for a couple of hours and others are still without power this morning!
We're still here...so that's good!
Have a great Saturday everyone...

Goodmorning all,
Have a Super Saturday!
I have to work today, so if any of you are out in Fallon today...come watch the races out at Top Gun. After the races, I'll be listening to my friends band play at a place called the Water Hole in Fallon. He starts at 8pm. Maybe I'll see ya there!
Have a great day!

Mornin' all of you nice people!
Sorry it's been a while since I've dropped in and said hi. This week I was really busy with my new job and then studying stuff for it outside of work. I've had a great time at work and all. It's been very cool. I think it's going to go very well for me. I wish I could get more hours, but it will come with a bit of time.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Joe - Sorry to hear about your experience with the Sailor. There is actually a very good movie (albeit sad) about that very experience. It's about a Marine that is assigned to escort a fallen Marine back to his home town in Wyoming, I think it was. That's what the entire movie was about; this Marine being assigned this duty, picking the fallen Marine up and escorting him all the way home. Along the way he got to learn all about this fallen Marine in which he originally knew nothing about. It was definitely tough to watch, but I thought it was a hell of a movie. Of course, the name of the movie is now escaping me. It was called Following John or something like that. Damn, now I'm going to have to try and look it up to post the name of it.
Donna - Sorry about your sunburns. Be sure to take care and feel better.

Taking Chance was the name of the movie. It has Kevin Bacon in it as the officer assigned to the duty of taking the Marine home to his family. Like I said, it's a bit tough to watch, especially if you formerly served in the military, but a damn good movie and worth it to watch, in my opinion.
