Morning y'all 4 o clock over here and been up all day working on the house. Got some roofing done.
Rich I found out from my dad it is a dislocated disk that he has and I have the same symptoms I would need to have my neck fused I guess it runs in the family. Gigger I'm more then likely going to need surgery. And monsoon the break didn't last to long as soon as I got done typing earlier I ended up going to look in the back yard for a hitch reciver I have that will fit the 86 F150 (Blue Jay). I found one but going to have to modify something we will see. I never did get to turn in the scrap metal my mom and dad didn't get home in time. So I am going to get a few hours of sleep then get back to working on the roof. I want to get it done and over with so we can do my favorite part (being on the ground).

Hey Trav,
Don't get into any hurry about a disc fusing. My back is a mess & has been for years. When you have either money or insurance they want to start cutting on you.
I have refused surgery for years & opted for alternative things. I have talked with several professionals in the medical industry. The last was an RN that worked for a back surgeon in LA. He told me the same thing I have hear for years. Once they fuse a disc it can never be undone. With all the new procedures out there & coming along your SOL for any modern fixes that might come along. The other thing this RN told me was the percentage of people who have fusing of there backs the success rate is very low in the long term. Personally I have talked to many people who have gone through back surgery & everyone I talked to said it helped in the beginning, But 5 years down the road they feel they are worse off.
So take it from an old man that had his first back injury 36 years ago, do a lot of research & talking with those that have gone through it. I think if your young you better think this through for awhile long & hard. Because my years of research have stopped me from surgery.
I have degenerated discs ALL of them. I have bulged discs in several places from my neck to my lower back. I once asked a doctor, if he was to do surgery on me where would he start & finish? He paused for a few moments & said from your neck down to you L5 disc. When I asked the question what are chances of a full & complete recovery? He said, "he could answer that."
