For what it's worth I bought a 2006 front bumper complete with mounts, upper lad and lower valance for 200 from my local salvage a couple weeks ago when I was rebuilding/updating my 01 from my wife's wreck.

I found an 08 rear bumper. Will this fit my 2000 EX? Is $100 a good price (has a few small surface scratches)? It is it XL model bumper (no chrome) but if I paint it might look even better than chrome.

I saw someone on here who put the bed liner stuff on the plastic top of the bumper and I liked the way that came out, so I might go with that.

Can I borrow your mirrors for awhile to see if I like them?

Besides a rear sway bar and in tank mods I am done with maintenance and stuff on my X so I will be looking for more cool OEM stuff. The mirrors are one of the things I would like to upgrade. Pulling the train I'd like to have all the blind spot vision I can get without funny looking add on aftermarket mirrors.

Wow. To put it in comparison, when I bought the chrome '05 bumper (center chrome part only) from the dealer back in early '06, it was about $400 out the door, and they worked with me a little.

I can't believe how fast that bumper sold. Less than 24 hours on Craigslist and it sold .

I picked up my 08 chrome grille (not perfect by good condition) today for $80. One part down a lot more to go...

I have also found a local company that will sell me after market hood and fenders for a good price.

Just a FYI in case you don't know yet. Aftermarket body parts can take quite a bit of messaging to fit correctly and quite possibly never fit just right. Aftermarket is thinner and more prone to rust threw is you live in the salt belt.

Just giving the heads up before the purchase. I won't care if you still get the aftermarket, just passing on what I know so you won't be surprised.

Yup, snow is right. For a conversion like this go with the Ford Parts unless you are a good body man. Huge difference in quality and fitment.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know that.

Rust isn't a problem here but I'm not a body man so I'll probably have a hard time.

Not sure what Ford charges for the hood and fenders new but I bet it double or triple what after market costs.

Used 08 parts are hard to come by...
