took the plunge, CC 4x4 Lariat Ecoboost
Went to my trusted dealership, had every intention of moving my 2008 F350 V10 4x4, and had a new 2011 F150 CC 4x4 Lariat scoped out at a dealership across town. Just so happened that they had a dealer demo 2012 CC 4x4 Lariat with every option on the planet with 4900 miles on it. Plus it was in the color I really wanted (white), not that ugly burnt orange of the other one. Ended up at almost the exact same dollar amount on the rig....$13K off the almost $51K price tag. Happy guy!!

Congrats, you will love it. I love mine. I wish I could have gotten a Lariat but I didn't want to spend that kinda money. The 38k I spent on mine was more than enough! Honestly I love my XLT I have the center console, back up camera, and power Seat so really more than i need. Have Fun!
51k - 13k = 38k. Same as you paid, and he got the bells and whistles.
Im looking at one right now and trying to decide between the long bed and the short bed. I have a 31' RV I plan to pull on occasion. I took a long bed home and pulled it around the area. Impressive machine. Now I plan to take a short bed and try it too. That long bed is a good bit harder to turn and park than my current 06 F150 SCrew.
Congrats OP, nice truck!

I specifically went the longer WB for the towing. A longer WB will be a more stable towing platform than a shorter one.
Plus, I could feel the ride difference between the two, the shorty was rougher (but still very nice).
I'm coming from a lifted CC LB F350, so even the longer WB F150 turns and rides like a dream to me!
Comparing apples-to-apples deals, I'm still trying to figure out how there could be a $4K difference on the trade-in between 2 dealerships. Not going to argue about it though, I'm happy!!

I traded my Mercedes in for a Subaru a year ago. One Subaru dealer told me I'd be better off selling it on my own as nobody that comes to a Subaru lot is looking for a Mercedes.
The Subaru dealer I bought my wife's car at said they wanted it badly as it was AWD and the get quite a few people that leave because they don't have anything high-end and AWD to sell to customers often. The amount I got for it reflected their enthusiasm for the vehicle lol.

Still blows my mind how much 1/2 ton trucks go for today. Back in '05 I bought a brand new Dodge 3/4 ton Diesel, Crew Cab, 4x4, 6ft box for $33K OTD. Sold that truck 3-years later though for $30K you can't do that with a 1/2 ton though.
Today 1/2 tons are $50K holy cow thats a lot of money for a truck. Well congrats and hope she treats you well.

Congrats on the new truck!
I also just went from a Super Duty to an F150, and am very very happy with the move. Lost a lot of payload, but rarely used the F250's abilities, so not an issue for 95%+ of the time. And with the improved mileage and modern electronics it keeps a smile on my face.

I'm in a very similar situation, I traded my 2008 F350 6.4 4x4 for a 2012 FX4 Ecoboost 157" wheelbase. I couldn't see going from an 8ft bed to a 5.5ft. I ended up getting $28,500 for my truck but it was in good to excellent condition with 83,500. I am very happy so far but only have 60 miles on it. Trade values differed $6K from the 6 dealers I went to so don't be lazy! I also got over $10k off the truck I bought with only 7 miles on it! The radiator was my only problem in the 6.4 diesel. I was on my 3f rd and working on my fourth soon.
