Geez...I just read this thread the other day and today I take the truck out with the family and about 20 miles from home I start to smell burning brakes...I figured it was the old beater in front of me, so I slowed down and turned off onto another road...after about a minute the smell is still there so I stop the truck to get out and check it out...smoke was coming from the right front brakes!!

I let it cool for a bit and then headed home to check it out. The inside brake pad slider was seized. I took it all apart, cleaned it up, lubed everything and put it back together.

Nothing is warped, but should I replace anything since the brakes and surrounding parts got so hot?

warping a brake disc is nearly impossible. but poeple call it that all the time. what really is going on when someone says the disks are "warped" is really deposits from the pads that have fused to the disk unevenly. thus causing an uneven surface. not warped tho. just an fyi

If rotors look good and pads. If there is no brake vibration when applying brakes, I believe you will be okay.
